Happy World Breastfeeding Week everyone! I spent the first day of WBFW capturing this beautiful mama and her 2.5 year old daughter, Willow.
I photographed Meg and Willow two years ago to capture their bond and nursing journey.
It was amazing to capture their continued journey, two years later..
Willow is Meg's fourth child and their nursing journey has lasted longer than any of her siblings. Meg says that her other children weaned on their own when she became pregnant with the next child. Since Willow is their last planned child, she's in no rush to wean on her own.. Meg has tried gently weaning her with no success. "she's stubborn!', Meg says.
We headed to a beautiful little river surrounded by trees at sunset last night and documented this beautiful moment in time.
Each breastfeeding journey is so unique and it's such an honour to be able to capture these moments. These bonds are so beautiful and these photos are something that will be cherished forever.
